Welcome to Treverbyn Class, our class teacher is Mr Walton. We strive to always do our best, persevere and aim high.
-
Treverbyn learnt a dance based on their Shang Dynasty topic.
-
Miss Luiten planned a really exciting routine for us with lots of links to Chinese culture.
-
We were dressed in red and yellow for the Chinese flag and black and white for yin and yang.
-
We worked on powerful moves.
-
-
Some of the balances were tricky!
-
-
-
We pretended to be a dragon and used brightly coloured ribbons to represent fireworks.
-
We choreographed our own parts of the routine.
-
-
-
-
-
We had the best day of dance. Thank you, Miss Luiten!
-
In our Geography 'Discovery Day' we drew sketch maps.
-
-
All of KS1 and KS2 went for a walk around the village to identify physical and human geographical features.
-
Our Science Focus is 'Friction and Forces'.
-
We tested a range of surfaces to see which provided the most or least friction.
-
-
Our English focus at the start of the Autumn term was Instruction Writing, so we decided to bake something and then write instructions.
-
Our topic is 'The Invaders are coming!' based on Anglo-Saxons and so we baked Anglo-Saxon honey shortbread.
-
We used maths skills to weigh our ingredients.
-
We worked together to ensure everyone had a turn.
-
It was fun mixing the ingredients.
-
-
Next, we had to roll our dough.
-
We used cutters to make shortbread in lots of shapes.
-
-
Our shortbread tasted delicious!
-
We had a Beach Wild Tribe Day on Fistral Beach.
-
We worked in our House teams to build Viking longships as sand sculptures.
-
We worked hard on the strakes.
-
-
They were so large!
-
We built seats for everyone to have a space when eating their lunch.
-
-
-
We all added a dragon head to the longships.
-
We all fit in!
-
We had the best time!
