In PE, we challenge every child to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically demanding activities. Our curriculum promotes social, personal, cognitive and creative skills, allowing children to become physically confident and improve their well-being, health and fitness. Children have the opportunity to compete within internal/external sporting competitions and, where possible, we organise externally led workshops to introduce pupils to diverse sports. We celebrate pupils’ sporting successes outside of the school environment and promote healthy lifestyles.
We have gained a distinction in PE gaining the accreditation of the AfPE Quality Mark. This is a prestigious award that evidences the strength and quality of Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity (PESSPA) in our school.

Our Golden Threads
In PE, we become citizens of the world through team work and co-operation.
We support lifelong learning by improving fitness, learning to deal with and ease stress, experiencing goal setting, developing emotional and social skills, teaching self-discipline, and moulding moral development and leadership abilities.
We prepare for later life by where self-direction, leadership, organisational skills and reflection are important.
